3pm The Bells Will Ring

My brother gets married today, here is a little look at the invitation.... I had a lot of fun working with this set from Unity Stamp Company.... used the set with all the wedding stationery including the Welcome Signs, Table Plan, Table Names, Place Cards etc.... This is actually a copy of the original sample, the end product saw the swirl move over more on the card like the second photo.

Two Hearts

A Wedding Card for my brother and his bride.... off to the pre-wedding celebrations soon... this card uses a Delish Designs frame which I have painted in cream, applied black ink and red paint; then stamped and embossed words from "How I Love Thee". Rusty Pickle and 7 Gypsies papers were thrown together and finished with clips from Making Memories.

Happy Birthday RhodStar!!

Seriously... memories of feeding pumpkin to my nephew when he was just a sweet cherub seem like yesterday, but today he turns 14!!! I always make cards with stars for his Birthday so tried to break the habit this year with these circles which I have built from SU's Polka Dots & Petals and Hero Arts Artistic Windows. The Paper is from We R Memory Keepers, the Nonsense-Drip Drop from the White Out Collection.

Thinking of Michaela

Time to bring out SU's Kind Thoughts for another try.... this one for a friend's birthday. I am into using Kraft Cardstock at the moment and wanted to primarily use black with just a touch of her favourite colour.... blue (eeew)!!

I might add some black bling before it goes into the post...

Mojo Monday 78

First time I have done a Mojo Challenge, I would love to be using some Verve stamps, but alas I haven't bought any yet, instead a new offering of butterflies from darkroomdoor.com; stamped off in Rose Red on Kraft Card. The paper is from Daisyd's, the frame from American Crafts, the monogram is Heidi Swapp. I found my corner rounder recently and it is LOVELY to have it back!! I have made faux ribbon with crumpled paper and used a stampin' around wheel to dirty up the middle section of the card...

Happy Birthday Mimmi!!!

A very big birthday wish to a special card making buddy... a Unity Butterfly popping out on some textured card, notice I used the same paper as the last post.... yep it is still on top of the pile!!! Added a Tim Holtz grunge board monogram which is inked up in Chocolate Chip, yummo... finished with some Kaiser pearls.

Verve Release Sketch Challenge

A little submission for the Verve Release Sketch Challenge. I had to use what was on top of the paper pile as I am yet to finish cleaning my creative space, but it came together OK, I will likely add some more hardware and a sentiment, but perhaps not until I can find them!!!

2 BRAKS!!

I collected my mail yesterday to find two lovely BRAKS, the first from Cats Cards. A lovely bright mail box addition, check out the little crystals aren't they nice!! This card came with some lovely pink gingham ribbon and a packet of Kaiser Pearls, in pewter, one of my favourite colours and I had only just used my last one--hooray!! And then a dash of purple from Krafty Kylie. This card came with a packet of lime green beads, I have an idea for their use, so watch this space for their arrival... they are lovely little things!! Receiving RAKs and especially BRAKS is fun, thanks to these lovely ladies!!

Happy Birthday Kari!!

My soon to be Sister-in-Law is having a Birthday today, HB Kari!! I am just home from a very lovely dinner cooked by my Brother, he did a wonderful job and Kari had a lovely Birthday... here is her card... I used Bella journalling tabs, mixed with some Spare Parts letters which I picked up in the States (in Waterloo Iowa I believe)... then added the Unity Stamp.... which was the first time I have used this stamp outside of their wedding invitations (which I will post on their wedding day 28 March)... and some of my new dew drops as well. I like trying to use white space and simple lines, so enjoyed giving this one a go!!
