... what it would be like to be a New Year's Eve Baby... a real definition of good and bad I would say... but made better when you are a person described as FABBY!! Happy Birthday Sean, I hope you enjoy the cake I am currently master-piecing just for you!!!
Some plaid to match the present, some black and brown, 'cause I like it, some chipboard, who needs an excuse for that!
Very happy that I had two minutes to order a few new spools of twine during December, it arrived before the Fat Red Man, and is now having a joyous workout!
Happy New Year Peeps, I am off to dine finely and sing a birthday tune!!

My Apple is Blushing
Here is a card that uses this week's My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge.... I purchased these papers to make a photo book for my Mother.... and there are a LOT of strips of paper left to play with, so this sketch was perfect for these!
I sliced a section off the tab die cut, but still kept its shape, and left enough room for the sentiment too!
Pretty simple but still great to have a bit of time in my creative space....

Celebrate Chupa!
This week's Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper is Chupa, an Australian and also a fellow Mischief Maker, so I chose this card from her SCS gallery and recreated my own version using Waltzingmouse Stamps.... a softer look, and to go along with the challenge I changed up at least 3 things, different paper, swapped the butterfly for the chipboard flower, and lost the bow and buttons and replaced with a straight pass of ribbon and some pearls....
I stamped the petals of the flower with one of my fave little rodents too.... stamping works really well atop acrylic paint, I really like this look, and am happy I bought a few large sheets of this girlie paper from Kaiser...
Thanks for looking, and congrats to Chupa AKA Iwona!!

Happy Birthday Dottie!!
It is my paper crafting buddy DOT's birthday today.... so here is the card I made for her!
Pink is always in order for Dot and normally lots of DOTS, this time the dots on the skirt... which is a piece of lace held to the dress form with a lovely button! I covered the dress form in embossing enamel which is very shabby in that it is white with pink and gold (eek!) flecks through it... dampened down to go with the vintage feel thanks to my most used Copic Marker.
The scallops are cut straight from the paper, and the little label stack is finally having an outing, just for Dear Dot!
Hope you like... thanks for stopping in today!

Mischief Makers--Glossed Friendship
This week's Waltzingmouse Sketch could be kept CAS or layered up... your choice! I of course went with a long card, always happy to make it long!!!
I mixed labels in building the centre piece, embossing black on pink and adding plenty of foam tape between layers.... encasing the label with a full bracket of crystals, I forgot how much time was required to line up the 4 sections of these little babies, but happy I stuck to it.... carrying the gloss from the embossing to the crystals and then the stick pins. I coloured the cameo pink to tie in with the background and took a silver pearl pin and coloured it black, love my black copics!!
Some background stamping on the top and bottom pieces of background card to finish off....
The season is definitely upon me, but was great to get inky for this challenge, hope you also find the time... don't forget to link up to win!
Thanks for coming on over today, may it be good for you!

DOLCE -- A Silver Christmas
I love silver so this week's Dolce Stamps and Card's Challenge to use Metallics meant I reached for the silver straight away.
I used three different textures, very fine glitter and double sided tape was used to build the silver border on the middle layer, the stamp is cut right to the edge on the main layer, and I have used the spotlight technique to give extra pop and focus to the lovely tweeter. This also allowed for a slick silver to be incorporated with embossing powder... the final piece of silver is Matt Leather, I bought this eons ago, and always find a use for it, gotta love those purchases, even when you did pay too much for them!
This card has simple lines, which is great for the mass production that happens around Christmas time... hope you like and hope you get your metallic on, link up and win!
Good Luck and thanks for taking a look!

Mischief Makers--Its a Pudding Tag
Well mine morphed into a birthday tag, but it really does beg to be a pudding don't you think.... check out this week's Waltingmouse Sketch Challenge for Christmas or Birthday tag motivation.
I am circle challenged at the moment as my die cutting plates have snapped and they are all out of stock everywhere in Australia, so I am die cut challenged... so I went into my trusty chipboard stash to come up with this circle shape which is actually an oversized button... and the fancy scroll was found in the same stash, I loved this and thought it made for a nice topper in place of the leaves on the sketch... and chipboard is so easy to colour with Copics...
A quick sentiment and passing of text atop the scallop strip and this came together.... not really the time of the year for intricate things for me, perhaps the same for you?
Hope you find time to play along, don't forget you can link up to win!
Thanks for taking a look!
