In Review--Ten Quick Cards Publication

In rather quick succession to my first publication acceptance came the same for Australian Stamping, Cardmaking & Papercrafts' Ten Quick Cards article... I have always loved this section of the magazine as it provides variety and inspiration, using the one theme, for a set of cards.  I timed myself when I made these, and including all design elements, cutting and paper piecing they took just under two hours... and nearly as long to clean up the mess I made... Giggle-POP!!

It was great to get out a whole stack of my Unity Stamp Company Itty Bitty Stamps and make them come together using one theme for base and layer combinations and paper piecing with one paper collection with the various stamps across the card fronts.  You could do this with any stamps, they don't need to match, it's amazing what you can make look like it belongs together by just using the same stamping and building techniques.

I was also really happy that I could round these out with some of my favourite rodent background stamps, and little itty bitty embellishments...

And... I thought the book-ish background they staged was perfect for these!!

And... check out what's in these, this is perhaps the project that I have used the most stamps in, and the most die cuts.... at the one time.... a great way to justify all the stuff we collect, do it.... you will feel verified!!
